“I am not in love with Jaehyun!” There was a stunned silence and Eunseol was about to apologize when she noticed Hanbin’s gaze shift behind her, eyes widening. Her heart plummeted as she turned to find Jaehyun standing in the doorway. The surprise etched on his face was unmistakable, but there was something else too - hurt. Without a word, he turned and walked away. Shooting a panicked glance at Hanbin and Sohee, Eunseol spun around and rushed after Jaehyun. “Wait!” she called out, grabbing his hand. Jaehyun halted, his posture remaining tense. “Let go,” he said quietly. “I- Jaehyun that’s - I didn’t mean what I said.” When he finally looked at her, his eyes were glistening with unshed tears. Looking down at her hand still tightly gripping his, she gathered all her courage. “If I did… if I had feelings for you… like that… what would you do?”
